David Grossman – USA
David, a professional photographer and life-long Theosophist, regularly contributes to Theosophy Forward. This time his theme is a rather intimate one: Kissing, Caring and Loving. The 2020 world is not really a harmonious, peaceful or loving place, though Love is supposed to be the cement of the universe. As the well-known Burt Bacharach and Hal David song goes: “What the world needs now is Love, sweet Love, it’s the only thing that there’s just too little of.”
So, let’s kiss, care and love …….
The 13 images are accompanied by quotations and sayings, underscoring the moments caught on David’s camera.
It's the kind of kiss that inspires stars to climb into the sky and light up the world.
A child's kiss is magic. Why else would they be so stingy with them?
A kiss is the heart's autograph
When two brothers kiss: Your brother will never say he loves you. But he loves you more than anyone else in the world
Kissing is a means of getting two people so close together that they can't see anything wrong with each other
The heart has no wrinkles
People can say they care, but it means nothing until they prove it
Too often we underestimate the power of touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around
A pregnant woman is like a beautiful flowering tree, but take care when it comes time for the harvest that you do not shake or bruise the tree, for in doing so, you may harm both the tree and its fruit
A child looks up at the stars and wonders. Great fathers put their children on their shoulders and help them to grab a star
I want to hold your hand at ninety and say: “We’ve made it”
Sisters are different flowers from the same garden
I believe in love that's fun, that is caring, giving, and that is honest
