1. What’s your name, where are you from and how long have you been a member of the TS?
I am James from Canada. I have been a member for one year.
2. Are you active in your Lodge/Section and if so, what do you do?
I have done some camera work in Christchurch and at the New Zealand convention. I also attended the School of Wisdom with Dorothy Bell in Auckland.
3. How did you first learn about Theosophy or come in contact with the Society?
I was at a Heritage weekend street market in Christchurch, New Zealand. I found a small book in a banana box with a really cool symbol on the cover. The man told me that if I was interested in that book, then it was a gift. I went home and searched for the name on the internet. There was a need for volunteers to do some video work for lectures. I sent an email and a couple days later I recorded Tim Boyd’s lecture on the Solution to all Problems.
4. What does Theosophy mean to you?
Theosophy is a meeting place for everyone to get past the details and really connect. I am interested in the human experience and I’m learning more about our experience beyond our humanness.
5. What is your favorite Theosophical book and why?
I recently read The Key to Theosophy. I appreciate the format. Quite clear information. I think I know a bit more about what Theosophy is now.
6. What in your opinion is the biggest challenge the TS is facing at the moment?
I’m surprised I haven’t come across the TS sooner in this life. I appreciate Vic Hao Chin’s inspiration to create programs to attract and connect people through education.
7. Is there anything you would wish for the future of the Theosophical Movement?
I would love to see people come together making good things happen, working together to grow and create something greater than we can as individuals.
